Jack Ma is a Member of the Communist Party of China

The Co-founder of Alibaba, Jack Ma is a member of the Communist Party of China. A person, whose personal worth is around $35 bn, it is quite surprising to know this fact. Now, why is it so? It does not know exactly for how long he has been a member of the party but one thing is that he is one of close to 88 million people who carry out the necessary activities on a regular basis. Jack Ma is a strong defender of the manner in which President Xi Jinping carries out his business. He is particularly impressed by the way he deals with foreign firms along with American presidents who have complained about getting access to markets for doing business in China.

During an internet conference in the year 2017, Jack Ma said, while referring to companies like Facebook that if they do come over to China, they have to abide by the rules and laws of the country. Preceding the reply, he had said that he is not there in the Chinese Government; hence he is not in a position to talk on behalf of the government. There could be some, who might say that the revelation is not really a surprising one. If one wants to move forward in a place like China, one requires being in with the Communists. The Communists comprise of the officials, the leaders as well as the bureaucrats. According to the Chinese, it means making connections. Alibaba has even agreed to share information related to their customers if the authorities come up by following the rules and laws of the country.

Jack Ma is almost on his way to step as the executive chairman of Alibaba in the year 2019 but still, the startling revelation of his being a member of the party raises an intriguing point. The members of the CPC have demanded that one should always keep the party’s priority over anything else. Alibaba, on the other hand, has denied that Jack Ma has ever put the party’s interest ahead of the company. People have even noted that the CPC affiliation of Jack Ma was not mentioned in the share flotation brochure of Alibaba in the year 2014.
